Earth Day Peer Evalutations

Yesterday, when we did peer evaluations of videos from eighth and twelveth graders, I learned that I should've made it more fluid and taken better pictures. Some of the pictures I took of Earth could've been more professional. I could've taken some with a beautiful sunset or when the sky is getting dark but its in the process and turns kind of reddish, pinkish, orangish. Besides that, some of my pictures didn't really go with what my poem was saying. I put a picture of the waves which had nothing to do with a part of what the poem said. Not only that but, the pictures that didn't enhance the poem made the video slow down a bit since it wasn't permitting it be fluid. If I could change my video, I would absolutely put and take professional pictures, maybe add parts of the poem as lyrics, choose a more original song, and try to represent Earth in a way everyone can understand and try helping it. All in all, what I learned will eventually help me for next time and do a better job.

When I graded the two videos I was assigned, one from eight and the other from twelveth, I was very impressed. The eighth grade video was a very interesting to watch although I wasn't sure the pictures had much to do with the poem. Also, I thought the lyrics helped a lot with what was going on in the pictures which represented what Earth was actually made of. The twelveth grade video was really professional. The pictures were amazing, they had beautiful sunsets and green forests. Besides that, in a very simple way it explained how we can lose all the pretty things of Earth if we don't start taking care of it. To be honest, they were both great and I really enjoyed grading them.
